From Theater to Film

From early experiences in theater performing, I finally got the taste of filming a movie! Last night, we shot a few party scenes for our university documentary film raising awareness of HIV/AIDS. Working with new people is a lot of breath of fresh air to take in and so far has been great. Adding the fact that we’re basically doing a public service with the message it conveys.

This was me, in the middle, with two of my costars after filming last night.

The only thing, so far within the period I’ve spent with the production, that’s different from filming a movie to theater performing is that we’ve plenty of time lying around us. Plenty of time to wait, wait and wait till your scene starts filming. But on the brighter side it gives actors just enough opportunities to study and bond with co-actors and crew.
